Lady Gaga Opens Up About Almost Quitting Music & Her Journey Back to Pop

Lady Gaga has admitted that there were times she thought about walking away from music, but she never actually did—and she doesn’t plan to.

Speaking on Hot Ones, the ‘Born This Way’ singer reflected on moments of doubt in her career.

“There were definitely times where I felt like maybe I should walk away,” she shared. “But I know for sure that I never would. I was tested, but I didn’t give up.”

Before becoming a global superstar, Gaga had to fight for opportunities. She revealed that she used to pretend to be her own manager just to book gigs.

“I would call venues and say, ‘She’s so hot right now!’—sometimes even using an accent,” she laughed. “I would do anything to get booked.”

New Album ‘Mayhem’ Drops March 7

Gaga is making a grand return to her pop roots with her upcoming album, Mayhem, set to release on March 7.

“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” she explained.

The album will include ‘Disease,’ ‘Die with a Smile’ featuring Bruno Mars, and ‘Abracadabra.’

With her unstoppable drive and passion, Gaga proves once again—she’s here to stay.
