Grimes Says She “Begged” Elon Musk to Keep Their Kids Offline

Grimes is speaking out about her concerns for her children’s privacy. The singer revealed that she pleaded with Elon Musk to keep their three kids out of the public eye—especially online.

Last month, Musk brought their four-year-old son, X Æ A-XII, to a media event at the White House. Grimes says she had no idea this was happening until a fan sent her pictures. Now, she’s making it clear that she’s not okay with it.

“I have tried begging the public and my kids’ dad to keep them offline, and I’ve tried legal action,” she shared on X (formerly Twitter). “The internet can destroy young people. The fact that my kids’ lives are public really worries me, and I think about how to fix this every day.”

She went on to say that she wishes there was a law allowing parents to stop their small children from becoming public figures. However, she admitted, “I don’t even trust the law to help me now.”

Grimes and Musk share three kids: X Æ A-XII (4), Exa Dark Sideræl (3), and Techno Mechanicus (1).

She was especially upset about Musk taking X Æ A-XII to a press conference with former President Donald Trump, where Musk stood by as Trump signed an executive order. Grimes claims she was completely unaware of it.

“It’s insane to me that there’s no way to stop this,” she added.

What do you think? Should parents have the right to keep their kids out of the public eye?
