Captain America: Brave New World is an upcoming superhero movie from Marvel, based on the character Sam Wilson, who becomes Captain America. The film is produced by Marvel Studios and will be released by Disney. It is the fourth movie in the Captain America series and follows the TV show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021). This film is also part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is the 35th movie in the MCU.

About the film
The movie is directed by Julius Onah, with a script by Rob Edwards and writers Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Peter Glanz. Anthony Mackie stars as Sam Wilson/Captain America. Other actors in the film include Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Giancarlo Esposito, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford. In the story, Sam Wilson finds himself in the middle of an international crisis.
The Captain America movies started with Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, but Captain America: Civil War (2016) ended that trilogy. Sam Wilson then became the new Captain America in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Writers Spellman and Musson began working on the new movie in April 2021. Anthony Mackie joined in August, and Julius Onah became the director in July 2022. The movie was first called Captain America: New World Order, but the title was changed to Brave New World during filming.
Some familiar faces return in this movie. Tim Blake Nelson is back from The Incredible Hulk (2008). Harrison Ford replaces the late William Hurt as Thaddeus Ross, who becomes the president of the U.S. and the powerful Red Hulk in the film. The movie was filmed from March to June 2023 at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, with extra filming in Washington, D.C.
The film will be released on February 14, 2025, as part of Marvel’s Phase Five.
