Selena Gomez Surprises Fans by Releasing “Stained” After Nine Years—Plus a Special Album Edition!

Selena Gomez is giving fans a long-awaited gift—her “lost” song Stained is finally getting an official release!

Originally teased in 2016 after her Revival album, Stained never made it onto any official tracklist and instead leaked online. But after years of fan requests, Selena is bringing it back as a bonus track on her new album, I Said I Love You First.

Taking to Instagram, Selena shared her excitement:

“Eight years later and you guys never forgot about this song. Your love for Stained has never gone away, and I wanted to do something special to say thank you for all the support on the album.”

But that’s not all! Selena also announced a special edition of the album, I Said I Love You First – Explained: Narrated by Selena Gomez. This version includes behind-the-scenes stories where she and her fiancé, producer Benny Blanco, share the creative journey behind each track.

“Benny and I made so many amazing memories throughout this process,’ she wrote. “I wanted to let you guys in on some of those stories and the making of these songs.”

Selena and Benny, who got engaged in December 2024, worked on the album together, making it a deeply personal project. In another heartfelt post, Selena thanked Benny for being her biggest support:

“Benny, thank you for being my own personal journal throughout this process. These songs represent our past, present, and future… something I can’t wait to experience with you from now until forever.”

I Said I Love You First – Explained: Narrated by Selena Gomez is available now for digital download, and Stained is finally getting the official release it deserves. Fans, get ready to hit repeat!
