Kanye West Drops New Song Featuring Diddy and Daughter North Despite Kim Kardashian’s Objections

Kanye West has surprised fans by releasing a new song, Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine, on his X account this Saturday. The track features music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, Combs’ son Christian “King” Combs, and Kanye’s daughter, North West.

The song begins with Diddy’s voice, where he thanks Kanye for his support while he remains in jail awaiting trial. North also makes a short but noticeable appearance, rapping, “When you see me shining, then you see the light,” while Christian delivers his own verse.

However, the release has stirred controversy. Reports say Kanye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, tried to block the song, especially due to North’s involvement. TMZ claims she sent cease-and-desist letters to stop the release and even took legal action. An emergency hearing reportedly took place, where Kanye agreed to delay the song—but still went ahead and dropped it.

Just before sharing the track, Kanye posted a text conversation with Kim, hinting at a brewing battle by telling fans, “We’re going to war.”

Kim is said to be especially worried because Diddy is currently facing federal sex trafficking allegations. Despite her efforts, the song is now out, sparking both excitement and controversy online.
