j-hope & GloRilla’s ‘Killin It Girl’ Crowned Favorite New Music of the Week

Fans have spoken — and they’re loving j-hope and GloRilla’s new hit! Their bold collaboration “Killin It Girl” has won the hearts of music lovers around the world, grabbing a massive 87% of the vote in Billboard’s latest fan poll for favorite new music.

Released on June 13, this exciting single mixes K-pop energy with Memphis hip-hop fire, proving that j-hope and GloRilla are a perfect musical match. In the track, GloRilla embraces her fierce persona, rapping confidently, “He said I be killin’ it, I said I do this everyday.” The song explores the spark of love at first sight with a bold, beat-heavy sound.

This new release is just the latest success for j-hope, a member of BTS, who has been on a roll in 2025. Earlier this year, he dropped “Sweet Dreams” with Miguel, a soulful R&B track, and followed it with “Mona Lisa,” a high-energy hip-hop tune. Speaking to Billboard in May, j-hope said both songs reflect different parts of his musical journey, adding, “This is just the start — I have plenty more musical experiments in store.”

j-hope recently wrapped up his HOPE ON THE STAGE tour, which included sold-out shows across North America and a grand finale at Goyang Stadium in South Korea on June 13 — the same day “Killin It Girl” dropped.

Meanwhile, other artists like Lil Tecca (with his new album Dopamine), Mark Ronson & RAYE (“Suzanne”), and Zara Larsson (“Midnight Sun”) also released new music this week. But it was j-hope and GloRilla who clearly stole the spotlight.

Their song’s massive fan response shows just how powerful cross-genre collaborations can be. With this hit, j-hope proves once again that he’s not just a BTS member — he’s a global music force in his own right.
